Every home and business all over the country will require maintenance at some time or another. As such, there will be plenty of space for you to get yourself in and start up your own plumbing business. If you are willing to put in all of the right efforts and have the drive and determination to succeed on your own steam, then there is no reason why you should not create a success of the plumbing business you start. If this sounds like something that you would like to do, then here are some tips on how to start a plumbing business.

If you do not already have one, then your first step will be to get a license so that you are actually able to work the trade. You will need to fill out some legal forms and get your license in order to start up a plumbing business within your local area.

Once you have got all of these legal documents out of the way then you will need to start up your own office. If you are working with a fairly strict budget then it is possibly best to start off from your home. It is best if you have a specific room within your house that you can convert into an office that can be separated from the rest of your home.

When you have created this then it would be extremely important for you to market yourself and your company. Since the company is pretty much just you it will be extremely important that you develop strong people skills and offer great customer service. There is no doubt that plumbing is a competitive field but this is not to say that there is not lots of work still available for you to get. As such, it is a good idea to differentiate yourself from the competition as much as you can.

It might also be a good idea to set up a website or online presence where you can promote your services further. The Internet is a fantastic tool that ought to be made use of, and there are numerous methods that you can employ in order to promote yourself online.

As you start to build up a few clients it is important that you offer them with an outstanding level of customer service and do not charge them too much. If you give the right impression to your initial clients then this will start you off on the right foot and you will begin to get numerous referrals through them.

If you gain the success you desire it might be a good idea to begin to expand and hire some additional plumbers to work alongside you.

These 0 balance transfer credit cards will help you get to where you want to be because you can get an interest free loan to expand your business.

It may be a bit of a stretch to call Satoshi Ishii the Michael Phelps of Japan, but not by much. His victory in the heavyweight judo competition at the 2008 Olympics in Beijing was easily the defining moment of the games for his countrymen and was considered by most media outlets the #1 highlight of the year in all of sports. Though Japan does well at the Olympics for a country of its size and has won gold medals in a number of sports, its important to keep in mind that until the late’70s judo was the country’s most popular sport. While its popularity in the intervening decades has been supplanted by imported team sports like soccer and baseball, judo still holds especially high prestige among the Japanese sports fans and general public.

Ishii himself is also a marketing dream. Hes especially big by Japanese standards with 240 pounds packed on his bulky 511 frame. Not surprisingly, hes tough as nails and a terror on the mat but away from the gym he comes off like an awkwardly cheerful overgrown boy. He definitely seems younger than his 22 years, but gives off the vibe of a nice neighbor boy who youd gladly pay to mow your lawn. Unlike his telegenic American gold medalist counterpart Phelps, who acts as if he spent as much time working on media relations as his backstroke heading up to the Olympic games, Ishii’s demeanor is of an athlete who literally spent the bulk of his life in a gym only to emerge and find himself a national hero.

With the ability to offer him the most money and exposure, it seemed almost a fait accompli that Ishii would sign with DREAM and K-1 parent group FEG. Obviously its a good idea to keep your options open in negotiations, so he also reportedly talked to Sengoku parent World Victory Road and Antonio Inoki’s Inoki Genome Federation pro wrestling group. As expected, however, FEG reportedly presented Ishii with the most lucrative offer: 500 million yen (roughly $5.5 million US) to fight on DREAM and K-1 cards, with incentive bonuses based on his drawing power and performance. He would very likely become the highest paid mixed martial artist in the world before he’d even stepped into the ring for the first time. The tentative plan was for Ishii to appear on the year end K-1/DREAM Fields Dynamite! joint show, if not fighting at least in a heavily hyped opportunity for FEG to unveil their investment.

Ishii then shocked the Japanese fight sport world by categorically rejecting FEGs offer, saying that it was his lifelong dream to fight in the UFC. While this rationale might sound plausible to a US based fan, its akin to a top college baseball player from a SEC school turning down a big offer from the Atlanta Braves saying that its his lifelong dream to play for the Yomiuri Giants in Japan Central League. It frequently comes a shock to US MMA fans when immersed in Japans culture for the first time just how low the UFC ranks in the countrys fight sport pantheon. In MMA, their profile is lower than DREAM and Sengoku, but even smaller groups like Shooto and DEEP. Overall, the interest in and prestige of the UFC is well below not only boxing but even Japanese pro wrestling (puroresu).

Ishii then travelled to Las Vegas for UFC 92, with the Japanese media in tow covering his every move. There were countless photo opportunities with Dana White, who spoke of Ishii in glowing terms, along with top UFC stars. Upon his return to Japan, he was repeatedly photographed wearing UFC t-shirts while speaking enthusiastically about Dana White, Lorenzo Fertitta and everyone else involved with the promotion. He appeared at the Sengoku card in January addressing the audience from the ring and wearing his ubiquitous UFC shirt; his message was that he was going to fight in America for awhile but would eventually return to Japan.

At age 22, Ishii’s got plenty of time to develop as a fighter. His biggest downside risk from signing with Zuffa is financial since hed be lucky to get a fraction of what FEG is willing to pay him. The competitive logic of learning his craft slowly notwithstanding, theres a huge risk in automatically assuming that he can fight for the UFC for a few years and then cash a big check when he returns to Japan as the potential of injury and changing market conditions could seriously impact his market value. On the other hand, it could be a risk hes willing to take given that hes got his celebrity both with the mainstream public and in the judo community to fall back on. Still, its a logical assumption that the goal of all professional fighters is to maximize their income while facing the best competition possible. For Ishii, a move to the UFC defies both components of that axiom.

Theres another very realistic scenario that it was all a negotiating ploy by Ishii. The UFC was likely willing to play along, figuring that their investment of a few plane tickets and hotel suites would be worth the resulting PR surge in Japan.

With the recent revelation that Ishii has broken off UFC negotiations to entertain offers from other parties thats starting to look like the plausible explanation for the once hot and heavy courtship between Ishii and Zuffa.

As a postscript to the Ishiis relationship with the UFC, it apparently opened the doors for his move to the US where hell be training with the Xtreme Couture in Las Vegas. That alone is a positive for his future development as a fighter, as hell be training with a whos who of professional fighting including the gym’s namesake, Randy Couture. Training at a high level facility like Xtreme Couture among such an abundance of talent is a career move thats difficult to second guess.

UFC 100 was a historic night for the sport of mixed martial arts, and Brock Lesnar used the occasion to avenge his previous loss to Frank Mir with a lopsided TKO victory. With the victory, Lesnar unified the promotion’s heavyweight championship. The Mir/Lesnar tilt was the main event on an epic card which culminated an insane week in Las Vegas.

UFC 100 drew unprecedented attention from not only the MMA media but the mainstream sports media as well. While outlets like ESPN have long treated MMA with disdain they were forced by the interest surrounding the event to give it prime coverage.

Preliminary buy rates suggest that more than 1.5 million people purchased the event, which would not only make it the UFC’s biggest PPV ever but put it in the top five of *all* PPV sporting events. While it fell short of the all time PPV record of 2.4 million buys set by the De La Hoya/Mayweather fight, the unprecedented interest has put MMA on the map to stay.

The main event established Lesnar as not only the UFC heavyweight champion, but the most hated ‘bad guy’ in the sport To his credit, he had a perfect gameplan for Mir that allowed him to use his strength and power to maul his opponent on the ground while minimizing his exposure to submissions.

Mir, on the other hand, made a tactical mistake by letting Lesnar put him on his back and pound away. He clearly underestimated Lesnar’s ability to defend his submissions and by the end of the first round had already suffered a nasty beating. Lesnar quickly took Mir down again at the start of the second round, ending the fight with a punishing ground and pound assault that prompted referee Herb Dean to call a stop to the contest at 1:48 of the second round.

Lesnar’s postfight performance was less impressive and not befitting a champion. He taunted Mir after the stoppage, prompting the crowd to boo him mercilessly. He responded to this with a double handed middle finger salute before a short and arrogant postfight interview that would have been much more at home in the WWE than in this setting. Mir was the consummate professional in defeat, giving credit to his opponent and generally displaying all of the class that Lesnar lacked.

We Know You'd Like to Sue for Defamation

We Know You’d Like to Sue for Defamation

Nothing hurts like an insult. Usually it passes away and is forgotten. But not if it happens online. The Internet remembers all that stuff, and people often find negative things about them leaping to the top of search results. If you own a business, this can really hurt you. If you’re trying to start a business or get a job, your reputation may be seriously besmirched.

On the other hand, good stuff sticks around forever too. And the Internet will certainly hold on to that, if you’ve got it out there. Which is why in the last few years, reputation repair services have begun springing up, ready to undo the damage to your business by reminding the world how swell you are.

There’s no Need to Sue for Defamation

In the great popularity contest of the Internet, links are the most important friends you can have. The reputation repair services combat the negative content by adding content that has more links than the bad sites, which forces those sites off the first pages of the search engines, all the way down a hundred pages or more.

Once the negative stuff is dropped down into the search underworld, it’s all up to you from there on out. But people who search for you will get a better impression of you, that’s for sure. And you didn’t have to take anyone to court or shed any tears to restore your reputation. It’s a bit of electric house-cleaning, some light dusting of the search results.

To Sue for Defamation Still Won’t Remove all the Libel

Even on the Internet, nice guys sometimes finish last. Or at least in the search results. You may not have negative content to push down, but suppose you want to make your name known. These services can float you up to the top using search engine optimization, effectively giving you a name where before you were somewhere way down there.

It’s a strange wonderland of opportunities, the Internet. And like that place Alice ended up in, there are all kinds of rules that make not exactly make the most sense at first. But since you’re here, you might as well learn them. It’s pretty important, especially if you have a business, or just an online self you’d like to see protected. Keep your wits about you, is what I’m saying, and maintain control of that online self you’ve been cultivating; there are plenty of people who will be glad to take control of it for you.

What to do About Libellous Accusations Online

What to do About Libellous Accusations Online

Negativity is infectious, and, thanks to the Internet, it’s a bug that sticks around. Anybody with a grudge against a person or a business can type out an attack that will find its way to the top of a search in no time. And which can, of course, damage a business. Or a reputation. Getting rid of that negative comment can seem nearly impossible for the afflicted person.

Lest you feel like the Internet is just out to get you, think again. In the last few years, reputation repair services have begun to appear out there on the electric frontier. They’re like the cowboys protecting your Internet virtue in this new Wild West. They’ll make sure you get a fair shake, fight back against the negativity.

Libellous Internet Accusations Are Fixable

It’s all about links, you understand. The more sites which link to a site, the higher it’ll rank. So the reputation repair service uses good old search engine optimization to put content above the sites with the bad stuff, which forces it down like dinosaur bones. It can drop a hundred search pages or more. At that point, like the dinos, it’s ancient history.

If only people in the real world could be made to forget by having good things replace the bad. Well, maybe that’s a bit creepy, but for the purposes of online searches it’s a way of balancing the scales against some grudge-holder who wants to wreck your reputation. Plus, you didn’t have to get litigious or use some choice language against anyone. The problem, literally, just went away.

Cyber Libellous Accusations Reversed

What if you’ve never made someone mad before? What if you’re an online saint? It’s possible people have still never heard of you, nice guy that you may be. In this case it might perhaps still behoove you to make use of the reputation repair services skills with search engine optimization and push your saintly name up to the top of the results.

That Internet is one wacky place, I tell you. Well, I don’t need to tell you. You’re already here! And so it’s probably also clear to you that you have an online image, whether you run a business or are just looking for a job. And so, for my sake, remember to take good care of that image. Don’t turn your back on it or sure as you’re sitting there at your keyboard someone will come along and tinker with it, ruin it, control it if they can. It’s not that hard. But it’s also not that hard to defend it, if you know where to go.

Don’t wait any longer, get your free Online Top-Dog.org business defamation repair analysis by calling us at (800) 825-9500.

The NFL couldn’t have scripted a better ending to the first nationally televised Monday Night Football contest of the preseason. New York Giants rookie Tommie Hill returned a fumble 18 yards for a touchdown with 0:00 on the clock to break a deadlocked game and give his team a 24-17 victory over the Carolina Panthers in NFL preseason action at The Meadowlands.

Carolina’s fourth string QB Hunter Cantwell was in a position where he just had to take a knee and run out the clock on first and 10 from his eighteen yard line. Instead, he tried to throw a pass only to have his arm hit forcing a fumble which Hill returned for the score.

Tommie Hill was in a state of shock as he spoke about his game winning touchdown return:

“I’ve never seen a game end like that, not that way. I’m just a rookie trying to make the team. Anything like that that helps the team win in turn helps me. It was just a fortunate situation and I made the most of it.”

Hill, an undrafted rookie out of Colorado State had already become a favorite of Giants fans due to his tenacious, high impact playmaking.

Carolina coach John Fox sounded bemused at his teams unusual loss:

“Kind of an interesting ending. Both sides have a lot of work, but we have time. We have three weeks to do it

Giants QB Eli Manning, who recently became the NFLs highest paid player, put a positive spin on his short night of work:

“We ran the ball really well, hit a couple passes and we got a touchdown. That is always the goal. We did a nice job with it, so I thought we were effective as the first group.”

The Panthers will kick off the NFL regular season hosting the Philadelphia Eagles at home on Sunday, September 13th while the Giants will start their NFL campaign with a big divisional grudge match against the Washington Redskins.

It wasn’t the decisive blowout that EliteXC was hoping far to send Kimbo Slice’s stardom into the stratosphere but with some seriously tense moments for the former street fighter against a game James Thompson everyone concerned is likely happy with a victory of any sort. Kimbo at times displayed some surprising skill on the ground, while at other times looked amateurish and lost. Slice clearly had the edge in the standup exchanges, and appeared to have Thompson on the verge of going down for the count several times in the fight. To his credit, the British fighter–who developed a reputation for having one of the weakest chins in the sport during his tenure in PRIDE–took Kimbo’s best shots and had a tactical answer every time he got in trouble by taking the bout to the mat.

Though “The Colossus” kept his feet through several punishing combinations, the beginning of the end came when a Slice punch nearly sheared his ear off. The bloody, grotesque ear was clearly at risk of being seriously damaged and Kimbo punctuated this with four or five uncontested power punches. Thompson by this point was out on his feet and the ref jumped in to bring the proceedings to a halt giving Kimbo a TKO victory. After the fight an exhausted and relieved Slice flopped onto the mat, clearly relieved to have survived the toughest test hes faced in his embryonic MMA career.

While Thompson and his corner complained of an early stoppage, given the severity of the ear injury and the four or five uncontested power shots by Kimbo its a tough case to make. Furthermore, it was consistent with the officiating all night which obviously was trying to err on the side of caution in the first MMA event on prime time major network television. The ref was quick to call several of the earlier bouts, and the ringside physician was involved in two more bouts. Clearly, everyone concerned wanted to take no chances and risk an ugly late stoppage or serious injury with a huge broadcast TV audience”many of whom were assumed to be MMA neophytes. The fights on the card that ended by stoppage could have arguably been called a second or two early, but as the old saying goes better a second too early than a second too late.

Despite the tough test faced by Kimbo Slice, EliteXC overall has to be very happy with how the event came off. The presentation was highly professional all night, and the announcing was superb. There was no question that Gus Johnson and Mauro Ranallo are solid pros, and Frank Shamrock is obviously a well spoken and experienced expert commentator but the three meshed together exceptionally well.

The emphasis from the start was on selling the sport of MMA, with the promotion taking a secondary role. This was done via nicely produced and informative instructional videos, which would be helpful to a first time MMA viewer but didnt come off as sophomoric to the seasoned aficionado.

Overall, it was a professionally produced and entertaining night of action. The end result is that both of their marquee names among the general public–Slice and Carano–remained undefeated.
